A highly anticipated AU$3 million refurbishment of 87 Club Wyndham South Pacific apartments and hotel common spaces has been unveiled at Club Wyndham Melbourne.
The refurbished apartments are part of Club Wyndham South Pacific and are utilised by its close to 60,000 members – although they can be accessed by the general public when members choose to exchange their vacation credits for accommodation elsewhere.
The 87 apartments include studios, 1 and 2-bedroom standard and deluxe configurations, and stunning three-bedroom Grand and Presidential Suites, which have undergone a transformation to elevate the guest experience to new heights with modern aesthetics, vibrant colours, and locally inspired artwork.
In collaboration with renowned interior design firm BSPN, these apartments have been tastefully updated and feature a contemporary and revitalising colour palette of vibrant teal, coral, and sophisticated greys. Drawing inspiration from Melbourne’s famous laneway street art, the flooring pays homage to this urban expression and creates a visually captivating experience for guests. Meanwhile, the furniture was carefully curated to provide a modern and comfortable ambiance.
“We are thrilled to unveil the stunning refurbishment of Club Wyndham Melbourne, which showcases a contemporary design infused with Melbourne’s vibrant artistic spirit. The revitalised spaces, modern colour palettes, and captivating artwork reflect our commitment to providing an exceptional experience for our club members and guests,” said Peter Dias, General Manager of Club Wyndham Melbourne.
“The refurbishment pays homage to the city’s renowned artistic heritage. Whether visiting for business or pleasure, guests can indulge in an unforgettable stay that seamlessly blends comfort, style, and Melbourne’s vibrant energy,” he added.
For those seeking the ultimate high-end experience, the Presidential apartments boast a distinct design scheme. Decorated with shades of greys, charcoal, terracotta, and splashes of gold, these exclusive units exude elegance and refinement. The luxurious wallpapers in the living spaces and pendant lighting add a touch of opulence to the space.
The artistic spirit of Melbourne is celebrated through the re-installation of mesmerising photo montages by local photographer David Simmonds. These captivating artworks grace the walls, capturing the essence of Melbourne’s bustling city streets and inviting guests to immerse themselves in the local culture.
As part of the hotel’s commitment to sustainability, quality used beds have been offered to Soft Landing Mattress Recycling. Any surplus items have been generously donated to charitable organisations.
Centrally located in Melbourne’s central business district (CBD) on the corner of William Street and Little Bourke Street, the hotel offers a 24-hour reception, concierge, a gym, a library, meeting space, ground floor retail and dining precinct and a rooftop pool with a barbecue area and city skyline views.
